A thin yellow line and a small speaker mark the tile you're hearing. Move left or right to hear another tile (in 1+3 the sound stays on the big player). Only that tile plays sound, so the others run lighter. The speaker button at the top mutes it.

Each drama has its own folder, new titles show in Added this week, and every video is checked before it is listed. Hold OK to save a film or series to Favorites. What's new lately

NextGen Cable 1.11.5: a bigger picture on the Home screen with a narrower channel list, and other channels grouped by country name. A "New in your city" row, a new MTA section with live channels, Friday Sermons, programmes and literature by language, and a Comedy folder in the Library with 13 more comedy shows. Continue watching shows progress bars, OK shows what's on for every channel, live channels like CP24 recover by themselves if they freeze, and the TV guide loads faster. After a few days you can rate the app and share your ideas.
NextGen Cable 1.11.2: everything is free for everyone, with no packages and no payments. A new name and a new N logo. On our Spark channels, press OK for today's guide: watch any programme from its start with pause, rewind and forward, and rate it at the end. A card every 15 minutes shows what's coming up. Sign in with any email: make your own NextGen Cable account with any email and a password, no Google account needed (Google still works too). Tap Show password to see what you typed, change it any time in Settings, and if you forget it, use Forgot password or message us on WhatsApp at 437 602 6500.
Make every tile your own: on Home and My Screen, move onto a tile with the arrows and press OK. Change what it shows, its text size, background, corners, border, colour and spacing, plus its own choices (seconds on the clock, the next hours under the weather, all five prayer times and more). The channel is bigger too, and every mode is now in one Modes menu.
New Browse mode on TV: a home screen like your favourite streaming apps. Big channel cards in rows (Continue watching, Favorites, each country and each genre), a search bar on top and an icon menu on the left. Rest on a card and the channel starts playing right in it; press OK to watch.
Customize right on the screen: in News, CP24 and My Screen, hold OK on the remote (or tap ⚙ on a phone). A panel opens on the side and you see every change straight away.
Messages from the NextGen Cable team: when we answer your suggestion, the reply comes to your private Messages, and you can write back. Find it in the app (Settings, ✉ Messages) or on the Suggestions page.
New My Screen mode on TV: build your own screen. Put the channel on the left, the right, or make it bigger; choose what the four boxes beside it and the panel under it show (clock, weather, prayer times, markets, currency rates, top stories or a second channel); pick glass cards, flat edge to edge or bold headers, and a gold, red, green, blue or purple accent. Everything stretches to fill the screen, with no empty gaps.
Themes: Settings > Themes opens its own menu with 10 dark themes for the whole app: Midnight, Pure black, Emerald, Royal, Sunset, Ocean, Crimson, Graphite, Black gold and Plum. Make the text Large or Extra large for easy reading from the sofa.
Dashboard mode on TV (was Home mode): a modern screen of cards around your channel: the clock with the Islamic date, the weather for the rest of the day, the next prayer with a countdown and a reminder 10 minutes before, sehri and iftar in Ramadan, top stories, markets, currency rates and our sponsor. Press Right for a second channel in the corner.
New CP24 mode on TV: a big live channel with the top story under it, a red clock (with seconds) and weather column, the next hours' weather, a big box and a line that takes turns between markets, rates, the next prayer and gold, and two scrolling lines along the bottom. Choose what every section shows in Settings.
Make News mode your own: in Settings, choose what each spot shows: clock and weather, markets, prayer times, currency rates, top stories, or a second live channel (change it with Left and Right). A line of stock prices and rates now crawls along the bottom, like the TV news channels.
Bigger pictures in 1×2, 2×2 and 2×3: the tiles now touch, edge to edge across the screen, with more room for each channel.
News mode: all five prayer times (Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) always show, with today's Islamic date and a countdown to Ramadan and Eid. The Canadian dollar against 12 Asian currencies with their flags, and the price of a tola of gold.
New News mode on TV: your channel with the sound, plus the clock, weather and 4-day forecast, markets, today's prayer times, top stories from Pakistan, Canada and India, and rupee rates, all on one screen.

How to install

Choose your device. You can also open the full guide as a PDF. No Android TV, or installing is too hard? See our recommended devices.

TVs don't have a normal web browser, so you use the free Downloader app.

A. Install Downloader (one time only)

On the TV home screen, open Search and search for Downloader. Install Downloader by AFTVnews (orange icon).

B. Allow Downloader to install apps (one time only)

Open Settings › System › About.
Press OK on Android TV OS build 7 times until you see "You are now a developer".
Go back to Settings › Apps › Security & restrictions › Unknown sources.
Turn on Downloader.

On some older Android TVs it is under Settings › Device Preferences › Security & restrictions › Unknown sources.

C. Download and install NextGen Cable

Open Downloader. Allow it to access files if it asks.
Type tinyurl.com/2y669ug7 in the box and press Go. If that fails, type the full link shown above.
Wait for the download to reach about 27 MB, then press Install. If Play Protect warns you, choose Install anyway.
Press Open, or Done and then Delete to remove the downloaded file.
NextGen Cable shows a code. On your phone, scan the QR code or go to google.com/device, enter the code and pick your Google account. The TV carries on by itself.
To pin NextGen Cable to the home screen, highlight it, hold OK and choose Add to favourites.

Using the remote

Left / Right	Move between tiles; the sound moves with you
Up / Down	On a tile in 2×3, 2×2 or 1×2: change that tile's channel. In 1+3: scroll through the small tiles. While watching one channel: previous or next channel (Channel +/- works too)
OK	Fill the screen with the tiles; OK again opens that channel on its own. In 1+3: OK on a small tile puts it in the big player, OK on the big player opens it
Hold OK	Add or remove a favourite
Back	Return to the tiles, then to the top bar. Press Back twice to leave the app. Back also closes search
TV button (top)	Switch layout: Home, 1+3, 1×2, 2×2 or 2×3
Library (top)	Movies, dramas and shows
Speaker (top)	Turn tile sound on or off
